Our four year School Strategic Plan outlines the school’s vision, goals and targets in terms of learning and achievement, student engagement and wellbeing, and student pathways into, through and beyond the school. This work is underpinned by the Department of Education’s (DET) ‘Framework for Improving Student Outcomes’.
Coburg High School students have consistently achieved strong academic results in VCE with 100% of students passing their VCE in 2020 and all students receiving a first round offer to higher education. Many students have been awarded scholarships and in our first full year of VCE completion, 2020, despite the disruption of remote learning, many students achieved ATAR scores above 90 with several now enrolled in competitively fought for universities. Our median study score of 28 is at state average with almost all students undertaking exams. Our NAPLAN results have improved year on year. In addition, the results and responses on the annual DET Parent Opinion Survey show that parents are, on the whole, highly satisfied with the school and the positive outcomes in all variables on the survey are well above the state average for schools.
During 2021 we have comprehensively reviewed our performance as a school over the past four years and developed the new whole-school Strategic Plan for 2020-2024.
One of our core values is Excellence and we continue to strive to achieve even greater levels of student learning excellence.
