Our four year School Strategic Plan outlines the school’s vision, goals and targets in terms of learning and achievement, student engagement and wellbeing, and student pathways into, through and beyond the school. This work is underpinned by the Department of Education’s (DET) ‘Framework for Improving Student Outcomes’.
Coburg High School students have consistently achieved strong academic results in VCE with many students achieved ATAR scores above 90 and several now enrolled in competitively fought for universities. In 2021 we showed excellent growth in VCE outcomes, with 6.1% of study scores of 40+, compared to 3.2% in 2020 and our median study score has risen from 28 to 29. Our NAPLAN results have improved year on year. In addition, the results and responses on the annual DET Parent Opinion Survey show that parents are, on the whole, highly satisfied with the school and the positive outcomes in all variables on the survey are well above the state average for schools.
During 2021 we comprehensively reviewed our performance as a school over the past four years and developed the new whole-school Strategic Plan for 2020-2024.
One of our core values is Excellence and we continue to strive to achieve even greater levels of student learning excellence.
